Open House @ MLC Pasir Ris

Thank You for making our Open House at MLC Pasir Ris a resounding success! We were exhilarated watching the preschool children enjoying the exciting activities customised for them and the parents benefiting from the “5 languages of Love” talk. Our teams from across the island had come together for this event and shared their expertise with parents who had given positive feedback on their confidence in the MLC’s brand promise. We are grateful for all your support and look forward to another fun-filled Open House in the near future!

Teachers are truly the torch bearers of the gen-next!

It is Teacher’s Day in MLC. A special day for us as educators. On this day, our children showed their heartfelt appreciation on by gifting flowers and lots of hand-made tokens for their dear teachers.

In every MLC centres, our Principals organised a meal to reward our teachers for the hard work they’ve put in. It is not juggling multiple roles being a teacher but seeing his/her student’s development is an immensely rewarding satisfaction.
We like to wish our Teachers a Happy Teachers’ Day!

A trip to KidZania was specially organized for the K2 kids who will be graduating this year, 2017.
KidZania is an indoor theme park that allows kids to take on the various roles in the different occupations. The kids had a great time in this interactive indoor theme park that combines fun and learning with attractions and adventures. They learnt various jobs like, policeman, firefighter, doctor e.t.c. The enjoyed the hands on experiences and also learnt the value of money as they ‘earned’ through the various jobs and spent their ‘Kidzos’ for the other stations. Racial Harmony Day 2017 @ MLC Yishun

Racial Harmony Day is an annual event held on 21st July to commemorate the race riots of 1964 and teaches our students the importance of maintaining racial and religious harmony in Singapore’s multicultural and multi-ethnic society. To mark this day in Year 2017, My Little Campus has organised activities for the students.

In particular, MLC Yishun has organized a range of cross-cultural activities for students and their parents on the Racial Harmony Day, in hope to help students understand and appreciate the different cultures and practices of other races and emphasize the importance of living in harmony. We have involved our student’s parents to take part as well. Parents were actively involved in this celebration together with their child. The objective of this Racial Harmony Celebration is to help our young children appreciate the value of Racial Harmony and mutual understanding in a society which considers its cultural diversity an asset.

Some of the activities includes talks on the communal riots of 1964, dressing up in different ethnic costumes and playing traditional games. For the activities, we have set up with 7 different stations of the various ethnic groups. E.g. Five Stones/Spin Top, Tug-Of-War, Chinese Callgraphy, Ketupat Weaving Bag, Henna Drawing etc.

Everyone had fun as they actively engaged in the activities!

Upon closure of the celebration, all children sang along “We are Good Friends” together and a fulfilling, delicious Nasi Lemak was served for lunch. It was a meaningful afternoon well spent!

Parent Teacher Meeting @ MLC Canberra

Each child will face his/her obstacles as a student. As educators, we believe that parents should know how is their child doing is school objectively.

Is the child attentive in class? Is she having difficulty communicating her needs? Is he not making friends in class? Is he too picky with his food? Little details goes a long way in shaping how a child learns. It is not easy pointing out areas of improvements but in MLC we believe that parents-teachers partnership is critical for the benefit of the child.

In each centre, our Principals will organise a PTM session on a slated frequency. Parents of MLC are welcome to have a friendly chat with our Principals and Teachers to learn more.
